D&C advice?

I have my D&C tomorrow and was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me? I'm nervous and scared, but I know everything will work out. I just wondered if there were any suggestions out there to make things go more smoothly...if that's even possible.

Bring your own pad, just in case.  I used the hospital one, which wasn't sticky.  I put in on wrong, being woozy from the anesthesia.  I had blood halfway up my pants, and didn't notice until I got in the chickfila bathroom.  (BTW, the bleeding wasn't as heavy as I made it sound)

 

The procedure was quick and recovery wasn't bad.  Good luck tomorrow, and I am truly sorry you have to go through this too.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I had a d&c almost two months ago, and while the process is very emotionally taxing, it was physically not bad. They knocked me out completely and the whole process took less than fifteen minutes. Try to get a good night's sleep tonight (easier said than done, I know). I hope all goes well for you tomorrow. i am so sorry for your loss. i had mine today and it was not as bad as i thought. It was over fast and I am not even really bleeding. There is some cramping but you just need to take it easy. I also found a lot mental relief. My loss was a week ago and every day has been horrible. Today i feel some peace. i feel like i can start to heal. Good luck tomorrow. please try not to be scared. I would ask for an ultrasound while you are still under to make sure they got all the tissue.  You can see my post below but I had my third d&c Sunday at the ER because my Doctor missed the tissue twice with the first d&cs.  I don't think that is very common though, maybe I have a strange shaped uterus or it is very tilted or something.
